Sta je heljda?!
Heljda je vrlo izbalansirana namirnica. Izuzetno je bogata proteinskim materijama. Sadrži vitamine B, E i P, minerale (kalcijum, gvožđe, fosfor, magnezijum, bakar) i esencijalne aminokiseline (lizin i triptofan).
Heljda jača organizam i povećava telesnu toplinu, zbog čega je pogodna za zimsku sezonu.
Iako se misli da je heljda žitarica, to nije tačno. U kulinarstvu heljda se smatra žitaricom zbog svoje hranjivosti, botanički pripada kategoriji zeljastog povrća, a ponekad se ubraja i u voćke.
Semenke heljde su po veličini slične semenkama pšenice, ali poseduju jedinstvenu trokutastu formu.
Cvetovi heljde su vrlo aromatični, zbog čega privlače pčele koje ih koriste da bi napravile poseban med, koji ima tamnu boju, snažan miris i posebna lekovita svojstva.
Heljda često služi kao zamena za pirinač ili se priprema kao kaša.
Takođe se koristi brašno od heljde koje može imati tamniju ili svetliju boju.
Heljda ne sadrži gluten, zbog čega je pogodna za osobe koje su na njega alergične.
