Sta je heljda?!

Heljda je vrlo izbalansirana namirnica. Izuzetno je bogata proteinskim materijama. Sadrži vitamine B, E i P, minerale (kalcijum, gvožđe, fosfor, magnezijum, bakar) i esencijalne aminokiseline (lizin i triptofan).
Heljda jača organizam i povećava telesnu toplinu, zbog čega je pogodna za zimsku sezonu.

Iako se misli da je heljda žitarica, to nije tačno. U kulinarstvu heljda se smatra žitaricom zbog svoje hranjivosti,  botanički pripada kategoriji zeljastog povrća, a ponekad se ubraja i u voćke.

Semenke heljde su po veličini slične semenkama pšenice, ali poseduju jedinstvenu trokutastu formu.

Cvetovi heljde su vrlo aromatični, zbog čega privlače pčele koje ih koriste da bi napravile poseban med, koji ima tamnu boju, snažan miris i posebna lekovita svojstva.

Heljda često služi kao zamena za pirinač ili se priprema kao kaša.

Takođe se koristi brašno od heljde koje može imati tamniju ili svetliju boju.

Heljda ne sadrži gluten, zbog čega je pogodna za osobe koje su na njega alergične.

Lekovita svojstva heljde:

  • bogata je dijetalnim vlaknima
  • sadrži osam esencijalnih aminokiselina
  • bogata je mineralima – sadrži fosfor, magnezijum, gvožđe, cink, bakar i mangan
  • bogata je flavonoidima, rutinom
  • smanjuje šećer u krvi, povoljna za dijabetičare
  • Smanjuje holesterol u krvi
  • ne sadrži gluten
  • održava zdravlje kardiovaskularnog sistema
  • smanjuje rizik od raka
  • čisti organizam, štiti krvne žile, sprečava bolesti bubrega i spolnih organa

Buckwheat is very balanced food. It is extremely rich in valuable protein substances. Contains vitamin B, E and F, minerals (calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, copper) and essential amino acids (lysine and tryptophan).

Buckwheat strengthens the body and increases body heat, which is suited especially for the winter season.

Although you might think that buckwheat is a grain, it is not true.

Despite being considered a grain in cuisine because of its nutritive value, buckwheat botanically belongs to the category of green leafy vegetables. According to some sources it is even considered as a fruit.

Buckwheat seeds are similar to wheat seeds in size, but they have a unique triangular shape.
Buckwheat flowers are very aromatic, which attract bees that use them for making a special honey. It has a dark color, strong aroma and special healing properties.

Buckwheat is often used as a substitute for rice or is prepared as porridge.
Buckwheat flour is also frequently used, which can have a darker or lighter color.
Buckwheat does not contain gluten, which makes it suitable for people who are allergic to it.

The healing properties of buckwheat:
  • it is rich in dietary fiber
  • it contains eight essential amino acids
  • it is rich in minerals - contains phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and manganese
  • it is rich in flavonoids, especially rutin
  • it reduces blood sugar levels, which makes it excellent for diabetics
  • it was found that buckwheat lowers high blood pressure and cholesterol
  • it does not contain gluten, which makes it suitable for people with a gluten allergies
  • it maintains the health of the cardiovascular system
  • it reduces the risk of cancer
  • It purifies the body, protects the blood vessels, preventing kidney and reproductive organs.

I was given a container of zeolite by a dear friend of mine from Tatjana in 2014. Since then, I'm never without it. Zeolite is absolutely magical!
